TIG Training
Progressive Pistol Level I
Balancing Speed and Accuracy

Course Dates
Looking to take your training to the next level?
So, you've gotten the basics down.  You're confident with your firearm.  You can safely and competently draw and fire from your holster.  You can quickly reload and clear malfunctions, without focusing on your handgun.  You are comfortable with the both well aimed shots and point shooting.  But now, you're looking to take your training to the next level.  It's time to delve into the advanced pistol skills.

This course will begin layering on key pistol skills...while continually reinforcing safety and a focus on the necessary mindset needed to prevail in a violent encounter.  You'll be challenged to increase your speed and distance from your target, while maintaining a high level of accuracy.  You'll begin training to "get off the x", assess the situation unfolding around you, and slowly begin ramping up levels of simulated duress while shooting.  You'll work on one-handed and two-handed shooting techniques.  You'll shoot from a variety of positions and angles.  You'll challenge yourself to raise the bar on your own personal shooting skills.

We will guide you through drills (both dry fire and live fire) which have been carefully chosen to help you assess your current skill level, as well as layer on critical new skills. We will provided you with individualized coaching throughout the course. You will leave with a solid understanding of the practice drills you'll need to spend time working on, in order to meet your individual defense goals, and have access to your instructors for questions post-class.

This course will not only help you build critical skills, for home and personal defense, but it is a key foundational course for those that wish to pursue advanced pistol skill training.  This, or comparable, training is required to be completed prior to our Progressive Pistol Level II and higher courses.

"As a former military firearms and tactics instructor, I tend to be overly critical about firearms and tactics not being taught at a military or law-enforcement facility. That being said... Can't say enough great things about this place and the staff!!!
